PRP Injections
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an injectable treatment that uses your own platelet-rich plasma obtained by a quick blood draw. It contains stem cells and growth factors which, when injected back into the skin, accelerate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin improving the structural integrity and health of the skin. When injected under the delicate skin around the eyes, the treatment can improve skin texture and tone, reduce fine lines, and stimulate collagen and skin cell production for a plumper, more radiant complexion. PRP injected into the scalp stimulates slowed or miniaturized hair follicles into an active growth cycle and causes the hair to become healthier and stronger.

Your Appointment
Your appointment will be 30 minutes long. First, your blood will be drawn and placed in a centrifuge machine to separate the red blood cells from the platelets. Minimal discomfort can be expected during scalp and under-eye injections. Most patients express a feeling of “pressure” or fullness, more than discomfort.
The Results
The under-eye area will be swollen post-treatment and can last 3-5 days. The PRP is reabsorbed by the body and results from the treatment typically start showing within a couple of weeks, with full results at 4 to 6 months. Hair growth typically begins at 3 to 6 months.
